Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a condition of increased systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg or diastolic pressure ≥90 mmHg or both. Hypertension often does not show any symptoms for a long time. Hypertension is one of the risk factors for various diseases.
Objective: This study was to analyze the utilization and cost of Amlodipine drugs at the Wagir Primary Health Care, Malang District from January 2020 to December 2021.
Design: observational study with a retrospective descriptive research design and data collected using quantitative auditing methods using ATC/DDD, Drug Utilization, and Drug Cost.
Data sources: Outpatient medical records.
Target Population: Adults patients prescribed Amlodipine.
Time horizone: 2020 until 2021.
Perspective: Health care sector.
Intervention: implementation of Electronical medical records and pharmacy digital dictionaries based on ATC WHO.
Result and Conclusion: In this study, DDD/Inhabitant had a total of 15,80 mg, DU 79325 mg, and DC Rp1.077.326,67 in 2020. In 2021, the DDD/Inhabitant results were 20,54 mg, DU 136800 mg, and DC Rp1.853.929,88. The DDD value of Amlodipine > DDD value of Amlodipine by WHO which is 5mg.
