Abstract
Resilience is one of the important aspects for teachers as the ability to survive in facing the
problems faced. Teachers in schools with a small number of students tend to experience challenges
that require resilience. A high level of resilience has a positive impact on teachers, such as being
able to control emotions and actions, being able to adapt to change, and being able to face and
analyze problems. One aspect that can influence resilience in teachers is self-efficacy. However,
there is contradictory research between self-efficacy and resilience. Thus, this study aims to
determine the effect of self-efficacy on resilience in teachers. This study uses a quantitative
correlational approach. The population in this study were teachers who actively teach in schools
in Malang Regency with characteristics of male and female gender aged 20-45 years. The number
of subjects in this study was 102 subjects. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling.
The instruments used were the General self-efficacy scale (GSES) and the teacher resilience scale.
Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that self
efficacy had a significant effect on resilience (β = 0.437; p <0.05).
