Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of PT Kimia Farma Tbk financial performance with a focus on three main indicators: Return on Assets (ROA), Current Ratio (CR), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) before and after the use of digital transformation. Digital transformation in this study refers to the implementation of the Kimia Farma Mobile application as a form of innovation to improve operational efficiency and access to health services. The method used is a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of annual financial reports for the period 2016-2023. Data analysis was carried out using a time series test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in return on assets while there was no significant difference in the current ratio and debt to equity ratio. This shows that the high initial investment in digitalization, such as application development and technology infrastructure, has not been able to provide a short-term financial impact so that the comparison of PT Kimia Farma Tbk financial performance is not yet clear, external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic can have a greater impact on the company's financial performance than the digital transformation itself. This study concludes that the financial benefits of digital transformation are still limited, so companies need to optimize their digitalization strategies to have a greater impact on revenue and profitability. Further research is recommended to extend the observation period and compare the results with other pharmaceutical companies to gain more comprehensive insights.
