Abstract
The development of road infrastructure in the southern region of East Java lags
behind the northern region, leading to economic disparities. Trenggalek Regency
has significant economic and tourism potential, but its development is hindered by
accessibility issues. The government, through Presidential Regulation No. 80 of
2019, has designated the acceleration of economic development in this area,
including the construction of the South Coast Road (JLS). The geometric planning
of JLS Lot 6 in Watulimo District is necessary to support connectivity, smooth
traffic flow, and regional economic growth. The geometric planning of the South
Coast Road (JLS) Lot 6 in Watulimo District, Trenggalek Regency, is essential to
ensure that the construction of this road undergoes a planning process in
accordance with applicable regulations. The purpose of this planning is to
determine the horizontal and vertical alignment design, the thickness of flexible
pavement layers using the Bina Marga 2017 method and the AASHTO 1993
method, and to calculate the Budget Plan (RAB) using both methods. From the
analysis conducted, the horizontal alignment design includes 19 curves with a
design speed of 50 km/h on flat terrain. Meanwhile, in the vertical alignment design,
there are 21 vertical curves consisting of 12 concave curves and 9 convex curves,
with a vertical curve length of 60 m and the largest K value of 75. For the flexible
pavement thickness analysis using the Bina Marga 2017 method, the thickness of
the AC-WC layer is 4 cm, the AC-BC layer is 6 cm, AC Base Layer is 21 cm and the
upper foundation layer (Class A) is 30 cm. Meanwhile, using the AASHTO 1993
method, the thickness of the surface layer (Laston) is 22 cm, the upper foundation
layer (Class A crushed stone) is 23 cm, and the lower foundation layer (Class A
sand and gravel) is 18 cm. The Budget Plan (RAB) using the Bina Marga method
amounts to IDR 30.566.628.000, while the AASHTO method results in a total cost
of IDR 20.677.210.000
