PERANCANGAN GAME EDUKASI BUDAYA ERAU NGULUR NAGA DAN BELIMBUR ADAT KUTAI KARTANEGARA BERBASIS ANDROID

Indonesia has a rich variety of cultures, one of which is the Erau Festival in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. This festival is an annual tradition that reflects joy and has elements of sacred, ritual, and entertainment. One of the main processions in the Erau Festival is “Ngulur Naga” and “Belimbur,” which have symbolic meanings in honoring ancestors and community togetherness. However, modernization has caused many people, especially the younger generation, to forget the true meaning of this tradition. To overcome this problem, this research proposes an Android game-based media as an educational tool to increase public understanding of the Erau Festival. Games were chosen because they are easily accessible, economical, and can attract the interest of the younger generation. In this research, the MDA Framework approach is used to design and develop a game that can convey Erau cultural values in an interactive and interesting way. Thus, it is hoped that this game can help preserve cultural heritage and increase public awareness and pride in Erau traditions
