Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of cooperation between China and the Philippines in the field of infrastructure within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2018-2023. The Philippines chose to join Tiongkok's Belt and Road Initiative to develop infrastructure to grow its national economy and set aside the conflict in the South Tiongkok Sea. The concept used is the Concept of International Development Cooperation. This concept is based on an understanding of global challenges, such as poverty, conflict, and environmental damage, which cannot be solved by one country alone. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. To collect data, researchers used secondary data in the form of library data from books, journals, theses, online news, official websites, and working papers. The results of this study show that the implementation of cooperation between China and the Philippines in the field of infrastructure in the Philippines consists of 3 railway projects (Subic-Clark Railway, Mindanao Railway, PNR Bicol), the construction of the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge, and the development of the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, the development of Sangley Point International Airport, and irrigation projects, namely the Kaliwa Dam and the Chico River Pump Irrigation Project.
