Abstract
Generation Z happiness is at a lower level compared to previous generations, where Generation Z is the majority of the Indonesian population. Positive feelings of happiness can encourage individuals to do positive things as well as be an evaluation of life by referring to the functioning of psychology going well. Social life, education, health, and self-compassion have a relationship to increase happiness in individuals. This study aims to determine the influence of self-compassion on the happiness of generation Z. This research method is quantitative with a correlational design. The population of this study is generation Z or those born in 1997-2012 with a sample of 271 research subjects. The sampling technique in this study is through quota sampling. Data collection was carried out using the self-compassion and happiness scale. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression. The results of the study found that self-compassion had a positive and significant influence on happiness. The implications of this research are expected to be used as a reference. The implications of this research are expected to be used as a reference source for further research in the future to expand findings and insights in related topics and are expected to be able to become a source of education for educational institutions, companies, and the community about the influence of self-compassion on happiness.
