Abstract

Research Background: Advances in health technology provide significant opportunities to improve the effectiveness of patient condition monitoring, including heart rate. In mobile-based heart monitoring applications, a design that aligns with user needs is a key factor in enhancing comfort, effectiveness, and optimal application usage. However, many applications available on mobile platforms fail to meet user requirements and are not suitable for medical contexts. Method: This study employs the UX Journey method to integrate user requirements and experiences, aiming to enhance the efficiency and productivity of software development with a primary focus on features that meet users' needs and expectations. Result: The results of this study present a design solution for a hospital patient ECG application, specifically tailored to meet user needs. This design solution is considered superior to competing applications, and testing has shown positive results with a score of 76, which falls into the "Acceptable" category based on Acceptance Criteria and Usability Testing. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the proposed application design can assist in the diagnosis and treatment process of patients, as well as facilitate realtime heart rate monitoring.
