Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form and strategy of PAI learning
innovation based on the Merdeka curriculum carried out at SMPIT Insan Madani
Palopo. The research paradigm used is interpretive with a qualitative approach,
and the type of research is a single case study. The location of the research is at
SMPIT Insan Madani Palopo, with the research subjects being the principal,
WAKA curriculum, four PAI teachers, and four male class VIII B students and
four female class VIII C students. Data collection techniques used interviews,
observations, and documentation, while the data validity test used triangulation
and data analysis techniques with the Miles, Huberman and Saldana model theory
with the steps using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
The results of this study indicate that the form of PAI learning innovation based
on the Merdeka curriculum has been carried out at SMPIT Insan Madani Palopo,
namely presenting PAI material on the theme of the nature of the Prophet's
prayer, the SCL approach, the collaborative method of the PAS exam and the P5
project, canva power point media, and summative assessment with students free to
choose the theme of the exam material. Meanwhile, the strategies used in Islamic
Religious Education learning are differentiation of content, process and product,
integration of technology with YouTube, continuous evaluation with dominant
formative, and improving teacher competency with learning community training
and PMM.
