Abstract
Teachers work productivity are determined by effective teaching skills,
professional competence, innovation in learning, and technology adaptation and educational
needs. However, teachers often experience work stress because of heavy administration
burdens, too much teaching hours, pressure from various parties, and ongoing curriculum
changes. Other factors are career uncertainty, low levels of welfare, and lack of
psychological support further worsen the condition. Unmanaged work stress can reduce
teachers' productivity in carrying out their duties as educators. The purpose of this study is to
know the effect of work stress on the work productivity of ASN teachers. This study used a
quantitative correlational design method to determine the effect of work stress variables on
work productivity. Two scales were applied in this study, they are the work stress scale and
the work productivity scale. The subjects of this study were 120 people using the quota
sampling technique which had criteria ASN employees who teach at the junior high school
level in Mojokerto Regency and have 5 years of teaching experience. The data was analyzed
by simple linear regression. The results indicated that work stress has a significant negative
effect of 7.2% on the work productivity of ASN teachers.
