The East Java Provincial Environmental Service has an important role in implementing the East Java Provincial Environmental Service program activities, especially in the field of
Waste and B3 Waste Management. Community participation is also needed in this activity to see how effective the level of success of the activities that have been organized by the East Java Provincial Environmental Service is. Referring to PP 27 of 2020 concerning specific waste, it aims to reduce waste in coastal areas. The effectiveness of the Coastal Waste Clean-up Action Activity is carried out to evenly reduce waste in the East Java Region. The Coastal Waste Clean-up Action Activity is carried out after a survey activity based on recommendations from the community is carried out by the waste and B3 Waste management team, and a deliberation and socialization method is also carried out with related parties before the waste clean-up action activity is carried out. This activity also pays attention to the level of success of the coastal waste clean-up action activity that has been carried out by the East Java Provincial Environmental Service. However, there are some technical obstacles, such as the lack of public awareness and participation, the lack of clarity from the end of the activity, the
results of the monitoring of the activity have not been implemented. Despite some obstacles, the implementation of the coastal waste clean-up action still shows positive results from the amount of waste obtained in providing cleaner conditions in the coastal area.
