Abstract

In this era of globalization and rapid technological progress, organizations, including educational institutions such as schools, are required to continue to adapt and increase their competitiveness by engineering systems to make them better, This study aims to analyze and redesign the business process of new student registration administration at MIM 03 Takerharjo. The new student registration process is a crucial aspect of supporting the school’s operational efficiency but often faces challenges such as complex procedures, lengthy processing times, and a lack of transparency. Using the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach, this research identifies weaknesses in the current process and designs a more effective and efficient process.
The research method includes interviews, observations, and document analysis to map the existing business process. Subsequently, a redesigned process is developed using BPR principles, including eliminating non-value-added steps, integrating information technology, and streamlining workflows. The results indicate that the reengineered business process reduces processing time by up to 40%, improves data accuracy, and enhances communication among stakeholders.
Thus, the application of BPR in the new student registration administration at MIM 03 Takerharjo is expected to serve as a model for more modern, efficient, and user-oriented administrative management.
