Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, the need for fast and
stable internet connections has become increasingly important in daily life.
This is also true for the Sekretariat Daerah Kab. Kapuas office, which often
faces slow internet connections due to limited resources from the used ISPs
and uneven distribution of connections between LAN and Wi-Fi users. To
address this issue, this research tests the implementation of load balancing
using Mikrotik devices with three different methods: PCC (Per Connection
Classifier), NTH (Nth Connection), and ECMP (Equal Cost Multi-Path). The
goal of this research is to determine which method is most effective in
distributing internet traffic load, ensuring more stable connections, and
improving the quality of internet access at the office. By using two ISPs, this
research aims to prevent network disruptions when one ISP encounters
issues. The results of this study are expected to provide the best solution to
improve the performance of the computer network at the Sekretariat Daerah
Kab. Kapuas office.
