Abstract
This study used a quantitative method with a sample of 40 people at the Prima Indomelia Wood Factory.Data was analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). Data were obtained using questionnaires and census sampling techniques. This study aims to investigate the relationship between competence and turnover intention and employee well-being as moderation. The results showed that Competency was not significant to Turnover Intention, which identified that improving employees' competencies did not directly decrease their intention to change jobs. However, Employee Well-Being has a significant effect on Turnover Intention, which means that the higher the well-being of employees, the more likely they are to look for job opportunities elsewhere. However, the relationship between Competency and Turnover Intention is not significantly moderated by Employee Well-Being. The implication of this research is that companies cannot only focus on improving competencies to reduce turnover, but also need to pay attention to employee satisfaction and engagement. Although employee well-being affects turnover intention, companies can reduce this by creating a more comfortable work environment and providing better growth opportunities.
