Abstract
Teachers of children with special needs face many challenges in teaching children with special needs. It is important to have a high meaning of life, because then it can ease the challenges faced. Social support is very influential in achieving the meaning of life in teachers of children with special needs. Thus, the researcher aims to determine the influence between perceived social support and meaning of life in teachers of children with special needs. This study uses a quantitative approach method with a correlational research design. This study involved teachers of children with special needs. The sampling technique used was quota sampling of 210 respondents divided into 70 elementary school teachers, 70 junior high school teachers and 70 high school teachers. The instruments in this study are SSA (Social Support Appraisal Scale) and MoLS (Meaning of Life Scale). The analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed the influence of perceived social support on the meaning of life in teachers of children with special needs as evidenced by the R² value of 0.425 and the p value shows that perceived social support has a significant effect (p value> .001).
