Abstract
his study was conducted to determine and analyze the effect of empowerment leadership
style on organizational commitment with communication as a mediating variable. This study
uses quantitative methods. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire.
The population in this study were all employees of the Malang City Education and Culture
Office totaling 78 employees. This study used PLS. The results of the study found that
empowerment leadership style has a positive effect on organizational commitment. So it can
be interpreted that the better the empowerment leadership style, the higher the organizational
commitment. Empowerment leadership style has a positive effect on communication. So it can
be interpreted that the better the empowerment leadership style, the better the
communication. Communication has a positive effect on organizational commitment. So it
can be interpreted that the better the communication, the higher the organizational
commitment. Empowerment leadership style has a positive effect on organizational
commitment. So it can be interpreted that the better the empowerment leadership style, the
higher the organizational commitment supported by good communication.
