Abstract
Students who are completing their final project often face various obstacles and pressures. One of the main challenges that is often encountered is academic burnout, which includes fatigue, cynicism, and incompetence. Low self-efficacy conditions can increase student academic burnout in completing the final project. The impact of decreased self-efficacy is that students cannot complete the final project optimally. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic burnout in students completing their final project. The research method used is a correlational quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique using the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) instrument and the Student Burnout Measurement Scale (SPBM). The subjects in this study consisted of 195 student respondents of the poor muhammadiyah university who completed their final project while working. Data analysis using Spearman analysis technique. The results of this study indicate a negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic burnout in students completing their final project. This means that when self-efficacy is higher, academic burnout decreases, and vice versa if self-efficacy decreases, academic burnout increases
