PENGARUH DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL TERHADAP QUARTER LIFE CRISIS PADA MAHASISWA AKHIR

Final year students tend to experience pressure, anxiety, stress and even depression
due to difficulties in completing their final assignments. Final year students are often susceptible
to quarter life crisis. Family support and emotional intelligence are factors that can help them
through a quarter life crisis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of family
support and emotional intelligence on quarter life crisis in final year students. This study uses
a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The sampling technique used a
purposive sample of 350 students. The scales used in this study are the quarter life crisis scale,
family support scale and emotional intelligence scale. The data analysis technique used in this
study is multiple linear regression. The results of this study show that there is an effect of family
support on quarter life crisis in a negative direction with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05
and a regression coefficient value of t = -19.919. Meanwhile, there is an effect of emotional
intelligence on quarter life crisis in a negative direction with a significance value of 0.018 <0.05
and a regression coefficient value of t = -2.368. There is a significant influence between family
support and emotional intelligence on quarter life crisis with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05
with a value of f = 318.281. The influence given by family support and emotional intelligence
on quarter life crisis is 64.7%.
