Abstract

Students who win in online gambling tend to become addicted because they experience a high level of satisfaction. They will continue to play and increase their bets in hopes of achieving the same or even greater satisfaction. Life satisfaction refers to the state in which a person achieves or experiences something they desire. This study aims to examine the behavior of students who engage in online gambling, which can potentially disrupt their life satisfaction. This research adopts a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. It involves 160 subjects, with the population consisting of all students who participate in online gambling. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The results indicate a relationship between life satisfaction and online gambling. Life satisfaction and online gambling are positively and significantly correlated (r = 0.076, p < .001).
