Abstract
UPT X is known as an institution that handles children with social functioning difficulties. One of the categories of problems addressed is quietness/shyness. In the implementation of the program, several issues related to quiet/shy children were identified, including: 1) the absence of written standards for categorizing children’s problems, 2) a monitoring and evaluation system prone to bias, and 3) insignificant changes in children’s behavior. This study aims to develop a standardized module of indicators and public speaking training to enhance the confidence of participants with quiet/shy tendencies, as well as to provide solutions to address the identified issues. The method used in developing this module is the Research and Development (R&D) Four-D model over approximately 4-5 months and conducted at UPT X. The developed module consists of three main programs: 1) Establishing standardized indicators, 2) Reviewing the implementation of monitoring and evaluation, and 3) Conducting public speaking training. Expert validation shows that the three programs are valid with Aiken’s V coefficient values ranging from 0,792 to 0,917. It is hoped that this module can serve as a guide for the institution in addressing the identified issues, ensuring its sustainable application.
