PENGARUH DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TERHADAP KECEMASAN KARIR PADA MAHASISWA TINGKAT AKHIR DI KOTA MALANG

Final year students are faced with the reality of transitioning from the world of education to the realm of careers. In addition to thinking about the thesis as one of the requirements for academic graduation, final year students must also plan their future careers. Career is one of the sources of anxiety in final year students. The reality of the transition from the world of education to the world of careers, coupled with the large number of final year students who are not confident, and fear of failure during the job selection period and the lack of available jobs, causes career anxiety in final year students. Adequate and well-received social support can help reduce career anxiety. This study aims to determine the effect of social support on career anxiety in final year students. Quantitative research with correlational research design. The subjects of this study amounted to 297 students who were taken using the Accidental Sampling technique. The instruments in this study used the Interpersonal Support Evaluation List and the Career Anxiety Scale instrument. Data analysis used simple regression analysis techniques using Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) 25 software. The results showed that there was a negative influence between social support on career anxiety in final year students. Social support contributes 2.1% to career anxiety in final year students.
