ANALISIS YURIDIS SOSIOLOGIS PENERBANGAN BALON UDARA OLEH MASYARAKAT (STUDI KASUS PENERBANGAN BALON UDARA DI PONOROGO)

Indonesia has a lot of cultural diversity in terms of language, social, ethnic, race and religion in each region. One of them is related to culture in Indonesia, namely the tradition of flying illegal hot air balloons. Flying hot air balloons does not require a permit or reporting, even though Permenhub No. 40 of 2018 regulates the use of hot air balloons in cultural events for the community. In Article 11 Permenhub No. 40 of 2018 regulates the use of hot air balloons in community cultural activities, namely supervision of hot air balloon operations is carried out together with the Airport Authority Office, the local Regional Government, the Police, and the Directorate General of Air Transportation. Illegal hot air balloon flights have become a serious concern in recent years, especially because of their potential danger to the safety of aircraft and military flights. Illegal hot air balloons, which are often launched without a permit or proper planning, can disrupt flight paths and air accidents.
