PEMBERDAYAAN UMKM BATIK MAWAR DALAM RANGKA PENGEMBANGAN EKONOMI LOKAL DI DESA BEDAGUNG KABUPATEN MAGETAN

This research aims to analyze the community empowerment process that produces a batik SME as an effort to develop the local economy in Bedagung Village. This research focuses on community empowerment, resulting in the establishment of a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) aimed at promoting the formation of the Batik Mawar Guyub Rukun SME to develop the local economy in Bedagung Village, as well as examining the supporting and inhibiting factors in the community empowerment process..
This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and analysis of supporting documents from the Bedagung Village Government. Information was obtained from two main sources, namely the Head of General Affairs of the Bedagung Village Government and the secretary as well as a member of the UMKM Batik Mawar Guyub Rukun. Data analysis involves data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, to provide a comprehensive picture of community empowerment carried out through batik training.
The research results show that community empowerment for local economic development includes four main stages: strengthening, organizing, economic empowerment, and achieving goals. Strengthening is marked by batik training that enhances the community's skill capacity. The organization is marked by the establishment of UMKM Batik Mawar Guyub Rukun. The stage of economic empowerment is evident from the capital support provided by the village government and the increase in income from the members of UMKM Batik Mawar Guyub Rukun. The achievement of goals is reflected in the increased economic independence of the community. Supporting factors include the capital support provided by the village government and the active participation of the community during the batik training, while the inhibiting factors are the lack of follow-up assistance after the SMEs are established and the SMEs' suboptimal management of their business operations.
