Abstract

The world of education is inseparable from academic activities that require students to do school assignments. However, in reality, there are still students who procrastinate on school assignments and prefer to do activities that are not related to the learning process. This procrastination behavior is also called academic procrastination behavior. Academic procrastination is often a significant problem in students' academic achievement. Peer social support is believed to play an important role in influencing these habits. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of peer social support on academic procrastination in high school students. This study uses a sampling technique, namely Convenience sampling on 220 students/i. The data collection method uses the Social Scale scale to measure peer social support. and Procrastination Scale to measure academic procrastination. The analysis test uses simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant influence of peer social support on students' academic procrastination behavior with a result of 0.001 < 0.05 and the influence of peer social support on academic procrastination was R2 : 0.047 ( 4.7% ).
