Abstract

The aim of the research entitled "The Sembonyo Sea Harbor Tradition as a Strengthener of Community Solidarity in Besole Village, Besuki District, Tulungagung Regency" is to find out more about the Sembonyo Sea Harbor tradition as a strengthener of community solidarity in Besole Village, Besuki District, Tulungagung Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type with the research location in Besole Village, Besuki District, Tulungagung Regency. Subject determination uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques use primary data: through observation, interviews and documentation, while secondary: books, journals and previous research that have similar references. Data validity uses source triangulation, which tests the credibility of the data by checking data that has been obtained through several sources. Theoretical analysis uses social solidarity from Emile Durkheim. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Labuh Laut Sembonyo Tradition every year creates an interaction that exists between individuals and groups which creates a reciprocal relationship, because of the similarities between individuals who refer to a form of respect for Eyanag Tumenggung Yudo Negoro and a form of belief and shared sentiment that on average the majority depend on the marine sector for their livelihoods in communities with a common background. From this background involvement, solidarity will be created among the community, such as attitudes of tolerance, deliberation, harmony, mutual cooperation and mutual giving which will have the impact of strengthening the sense of solidarity among the Besole Village community.
