Abstract
ntroduction: Chronic renal failure was the main factor behind the patient
undergoing hemodialysis. One of the effects of hemodialysis is fatigue in
patients, which affects the patient's quality of life. Therefore, there needs to be
an intervention that can be used in addressing the problem. The intended
intervention is a non-invasive intervention so that it is easy to apply and does
not cause side effects such as slow-stroke back massage, reflexology massage,
aromatherapy massage, and acupressure. Objectives: to analysis massage
theraphy towards fatigue in hemodilysis patients through a literature study.
Methods: The method used in this study is a literature review. The search for
literature resources is done by accessing the journal databases of science
direct, ClinicalKey Nursing, PubMed, and Proquest. In the early stages of
searching journal articles with the keyword "hemodialysis patients" AND "
relaxation massage therapy" AND "Nursing Intervention" AND "fatigue". In
the search for journals, there were 3,209 journals published from 2011 to
2020. A total of 13 journal articles that are considered relevant are then
conducted journal analysis using thematic analysis. Results: Literature review
results from journals that have been analyzed state that the application of
Evidence-Based Nursing in handling fatigue is the utilization of slow-stroke
back massage, reflexology massage, aromatherapy massage, and acupressure.
Conclusions: The application of Evidence-Based Nursing in handling fatigue
is the utilization of slow-stroke back massage, reflexology massage,
aromatherapy massage, and acupressure.
