Abstract

Gamification is the use of game components and game-making technologies in a situation that is not a game and commonly used in class when learning. Gamification have recently grown to be highly popular in modern of life as people look for methods to boost performance especially in school and workplace. This goal of research is to examine the benefits of gamification. The method of this research is quantitative method involving 78 students from 2 classes, 35 of them are from FEB and 33 of them are from Management class, Faculty of Economic and Business of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The result of this study found that gamification have seven benefits such as: Motivation, Confidence, Understanding, Working speed, Grade quality, Strategy, and Enjoyment. The majority of students agreed that gamification could help them in increasing their performance, it is shown from their questionnaire answer that at least 75% or more agree that gamification can benefit their learning process.
