Abstract
Concrete is one of the most widely used construction materials. The effect of using concrete is greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In reducing the impact of greenhouse gases, alternative materials are needed as materials to reduce cement use. In addition, additives such as superplasticizers can be used to reduce the use of cement and water in the concrete mixture using water reducing admixtures so that the resulting concrete will be thinner than concrete made without superplasticizers, this will increase the workability of the concrete. Sikament LN superplasticizer can be used to reduce cement content by up to 10% without reducing the workability performance and compressive strength of concrete. The research method used in this study is experimental. The study was conducted on a concrete mixture with a water-cement ratio of 0.5. Made by adding slaked lime and calcium carbonate as fillers which are known to increase concrete workability, in this study it was used with levels of 5% and 10% of the weight of cement. From the test results, the highest concrete compressive strength of 23.70 MPa was found in a mixture of 1% superplasticizer and the compressive strength of normal concrete was 23.27 MPa. In a mixture of slaked lime with a content of 5% and 10%, the compressive strength was obtained at 22.93 MPa and 22.65 MPa. While concrete with calcium carbonate filler with a content of 5% and 10% produced a compressive strength of 22.27 MPa and 22.62 MPa. The results of the study showed that the compressive strength value of concrete with a mixture of 1% superplasticizer with water and cement has been reduced to produce a higher value compared to normal concrete. While the addition of slaked lime and calcium carbonate fillers decreased the compressive strength value against normal concrete.
