Abstract
Background: Nursing rounds are a care method implemented to overcome patient nursing problems with a strategy for improving the quality of care. However, the data shows that the round has not been carried out optimally.
Method: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The author conducted research in one of the inpatient rooms at the East Java provincial referral hospital. The research was carried out using interviews and observations where the instruments the researchers used were nursing round observation sheets and interviews.
Results: The results of observations and interviews showed that there were several factors in not carrying out nursing rounds, namely limited time and reluctance to participate.
Conclusion: From the research above, it can be concluded that there are several factors in not carrying out nursing rounds, namely limited time and reluctance to participate. If nurses have a negative attitude towards rounds such as burdensome additional work then the nurse will also have a negative attitude towards its implementation.
