Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of inclusive education through differentiated learning in the independent curriculum in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan, to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of inclusive education through differentiated learning in the independent curriculum in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan , as well as the solutions provided to overcome the obstacles to the implementation of inclusive education through differentiated learning in the independent curriculum in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observations and documentation. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman, namely there are four stages in data analysis consisting of data collection, data presentation, data reduction and drawing conclusions or data verification. The results of the study show that 1) the implementation of inclusive through differentiated learning in the independent curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan has not been carried out in accordance with the provisions in the policy guidelines of the National Education Standard, 2) inclusive education through differentiated learning has a possitive impact on the participation and achievment of students with special needs, 3) supporting factors of the implementation of inclusive education through differentiated learning in the independent curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan Human resource, committed environmental conditions. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are parents of students/ guardians who are not honest inproviding accurate information to the school regarding the condition of their children, administration that is still widely ignored by the school and teachers, special guidance teachers who are still not available, lack of facilities and infrastructure owned by school, lack understanding of inclusion education, 4) The solutions provided are socialization with parents, administrative training, recruitment of special supervisors, calculation of priority scales on facilities and infrastucture, teacher competency trainning.
