RESPONSIBILITAS DPRD KABUPATEN BLITAR DALAM MENAMPUNG ASPIRASI MASYARAKAT

One of the tasks of the DPRD as a legislative institution is to respond to public aspirations which are then followed up on to be able to provide one of the considerations in providing recommendations related to policies and development directions taken by the government. However, the reality found is that the DPRD, which represents all levels of society in government, in carrying out its roles and functions as people's representatives has not been able to provide such a maximum contribution to the interests of society. We can see this, where often the policies that have been determined/decided by the government are not at all in favor of the interests of the community or not in accordance with the aspirations of the people. This study aims to determine the responsibility of the legislative institution in accommodating the commodity aspirations of the people of Blitar Regency. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Blitar Regency legislative body has high responsibility in accommodating the commodity aspirations of the Blitar Regency community, which can be seen from the performance of the Blitar Regency legislative body which has followed up on all community aspirations during 2022. In following up on community aspirations the Blitar Regency Legislative Body The legislature acts as a communicator, mediator and problem solver. The aspirations that have been accommodated by the councils are then used to become material in formulating various government policies.
