Abstract

Inadequate and unattractive learning media makes students less active in participating in learning. Thematic learning only refers to student books and teacher books, and the media used only uses blackboards, projectors, and uses simple tools brought by students from home. Therefore, it is necessary to develop adequate and interesting media. This study aims to describe the development of TRALITESI media (Traffic Light and Explanation Text) in thematic learning theme 3 sub-themes 2 class VI Elementary School and the effectiveness of developing TRALITESI media (Traffic Light and Explanation Text) in thematic learning class VI Elementary School. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) research and the research model used is the ADDIE model. The sources of data in this study were class VI teachers and students of class VI elementary school in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year. in the final stages of media development, it has passed the material validation test and media validation by filling out a questionnaire. The questionnaire is used as a reference in improving media development. To test the effectiveness of the development of this traction media, it is tested using the n-gain effectiveness formula. The results of the research on developing thematic learning media for Theme 3 figures and the discovery of Sub-theme 2 benefited from the discovery of learning 3 grade VI Elementary Schools, namely producing Tralitesi Learning Media Development products (Traffic Light and Explanatory Text). The resulting media development was in the form of teaching aids. This media was developed in 1 lesson with Indonesian, Natural Sciences, and Civics content. To test this effectiveness, a pre-test and post-test were carried out which obtained a result of 0.72 so that it could be said to be effective and to strengthen the results of this effectiveness, a student response questionnaire and a teacher response questionnaire were carried out.
