Abstract

Tea is one of Indonesia's leading plantation commodities exported to the international market. Indonesia is the sixth largest exporter of tea in the world. The Indonesian tea market tends to continue to decline. The decline in Indonesian tea exports was caused by many factors. This study aims to analyze export trend and what factors can affect Indonesian tea exports. The data used are secondary data from 2006 - 2015. The analytical method used is trend analysis and continued by ordinary least square method (OLS). The results showed that the trend of Indonesian tea exports was declining due to the decreasing volume and value of tea exports. The volume of Indonesian tea production, domestic prices, export prices, and the exchange rate of the rupiah to dollar simultaneously influence Indonesia’s tea exports. Factor’s that affect Indonesian tea exports partially and the most influential are export prices and the exchange rate of the rupiah to dollar.
