Abstract

Muhammadiyah Al-Munawwarah is an educational institution based on Islamic boarding schools. In this Islamic Boarding School there are pesantren activities, such as the Quran reading, congregational prayers, learning and others. The learning process in this Islamic boarding school is accompanied by a ustaz who lives in the Islamic boarding school. At this Islamic boarding school there are also Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Madrasah Aliyah whose learning is divided into Islamic boarding schools. This research uses qualitative research methods with the type of case study research.This research method was chosen because it fits the title to be studied. Then the purpose of this research is to find out about the elements that exist in the Muhammadiyah Al-Munawwaro Islamic boarding school. The study of the five elements of the pesantren aimed at the Muhammadiyah Al-Munawwaroh Islamic boarding school shows that this Islamic boarding school has different from other Islamic boarding schools. From the study of the five element, it also shows about the Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding school, starting from the structure, from the pesantren, it’s purpose, format and traditions carried out in it.
