Abstract
Background: Sexual activity can be used to determine an aged person's potential quality. Every living thing need sexual interaction, not simply for reproduction. Endorphins and analgesic hormones are produced in response to sexual activity, which causes various soft tissues to receive oxygen and continuously produce a calming effect. However, when engaging in sexual activity, the physiological status of the old is taken into account. This is brought on by a decline in a number of functions. MSDs do not fall into the primary aging or so-called secondary aging categories (disease). The life span is caused by the high incidence of MSDs in the senior population. Goal: To ascertain whether sexual activity among senior people and musculoskeletal illnesses (MSDs) are related. Objective:To determine whether older people's sexual activity and musculoskeletal problems (MSDs) are related. Research Methods: Literature review (qualitative study and sectional study), PICO analysis, and PRISMA method. Results: It was evident from two qualitative study journals (40%) and three cross-sectional study journals (60%) that older adults were still actively engaging in sexual activity. 73% of older patients report having sexual dysfunction, which is linked to musculoskeletal disorder symptoms. According to the correlation test results, which had a p-value of 0.005 (0.05), there is a substantial correlation between the complaints of MSDs in the elderly with sexual activity. Conclusion: There is a correlation between musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and sexual activity in the elderly.
