Abstract
This research uses I.zollingeriana substitution in the process of making lamb complete feed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using I.zollingeriana on lamb complete feed. The materials used in the manufacture of lamb complete feed (LCF) are corn starch silage, I. zollingeriana, corn, rice bran, pollar, molasses, soybean flour, and mineral mix. This research was conducted in March-July 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the substitution of I.zollingeriana in lamb complete feed had an effect or not on the consumption of organic matter and consumption of total digestible nutrients. The lamb complete feed formulation that became the treatment in this study were P0 : 0% I.zollingeriana, P1 : 5% I.zollingeriana, and P2 : 10% I.zollingeriana. P0 treatment was given to 16 thin sheep for 30 days. P1 treatment was given to 8 animals and P2 treatment was given to 8 animals for 30 days each. BO consumption and TDN consumption in LCF given to sheep at P1 and P2 between before giving I.zolingeriana and after giving I.zolingeriana showed a very significant difference (P<0.01) and between P1 and P2 showed a significant difference (P<0 0.05) different and very significant (P<0.01). The consumption of TDN in LCF substituted with I.zollingeriana at P1 and P2 was between before and after being given I.zollingeriana (P<0.01) and was not significantly different between P1 and P2 (P>0.05). I.zollingeriana substitution through LCF given to sheep affected the consumption of BO and TDN. The results showed that the substitution of I.zollingeriana was able to increase the consumption of organic matter and the total digestible nutrients of thin tailed sheep and he best treatment was the use of I.zollingeriana with the formulation P2: 10% I.zollingeriana.
