Abstract
This research had been employed on April 5th, 2007 to May 17th, 2007 in Karangan village, Karangploso subdistrict. The purpose of this research was to find how much the economic efficiency level and titik impas in a month of cow industries at Karangan village, Karangploso subdistrict, Malang. The material which was used in this research was civil cow industries at Karangan village, Karangploso subdistrict. The respondents of this research were 20 breeders who had livestock population around one to seven cows. The method which was used was survey metyhod and purposive sampling method. The result which was took from the analysis shown that in 1st scale, the production cost which had to pay was Rp 9.321.777,78/month or Rp 932.177,78/breeder, in 2nd scale the production cost which had to pay Rp 37.111.802,78/month or Rp 3.711.180,28/breeder. The income for every industries scale was: 1st scale was Rp. 1.069.842,63/month and 2nd scale was Rp. 7.351.395,30/month. The efficiency level in 1st scale was got around 1,11. However, in the 2nd scale was gt around 1,19. Furthermore, BEP cost (rupiah) per month in the 1st scale was Rp. 3.751.736/month and in the 2nd scale was Rp. 14.374.178,25/month. However, the selling BEP (product) in the 1st scale was 1.718,14 liters/month and in the 2nd scale was 1.651,11 liters/month. It meant the industries did not have profit or loss if in the 1st scale which was same as second 2nd scale could reach selling titik impas (rupiah) Rp. 3.751.736/month and in the product was 1.718,14 liters/ month. The conclusion was cow industries in Karangan village had profit for each industry. However, if it was consulted to the efficiency level in production cost usage, it shown that the 1st industry scale was more efficient than 2nd industry scale.
