Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the effectiveness of the construction of the Mexican border wall as a United States government policy to overcome drugs crime and illegal immigrants which are the United State traditional problems. The construction of the border wall as Donald Trump's promise since the campaign, where Trump believes immigrants bring problems to the United States both crime and drugs. The concept used is the concept of National Security. This concept provides a fundamental analysis of the object of the problem related to the policy of building a wall on the US-Mexico border which significantly reduces the increase in illegal immigrants and the number of criminal cases of illegal drugs such as drugs. Based on the results of research on the effectiveness of the construction of the Mexican border wall as a policy of the United States government. Trump was able to secure his southern border with two priority drug and immigrant prevention policies. In addition, the Trump depots against the Mexican government firmly. Broadly speaking, Trump expresses an anti-immigrant stance and combats drug crime. From this attitude, Trump reduced the number of illegal immigrants, increased stability, and increased national security.
