Abstract

Energy audit is the process of identifying energy use and measures to identify energy saving opportunities in buildings. In this study, an energy audit was conducted at the head office building of PT. ASABRI (PERSERO) which is located on Jl. Mayjen Sutoyo No. 11 Cililitan East Jakarta. The company has made several efforts to save electrical energy, such as replacing several energy-saving lamps, disabling the central cooling system in the evening, and turning off lights when not in use. However, the company has no energy audit where these activities are useful for improve the efficiency of electrical energy use and reduce the cost of electric energy bills. Energy consumption intensity (IKE) is an energy audit parameter, based on the results of the calculation of the IKE value in the building, it shows the efficient category because the value is below the criterion limit of 173.138KWh/m^2/year. In addition to determining the IKE value, this study also determines the OTTV (Overall Thermal Transfer Value) value which is the value of the description of the ability of the building envelope to transmit heat thoroughly from the outside to the inside or vice versa, with a limit value of 35W/m². The results of the calculation of the overall OTTV value obtained in this study are 30.51W/m², while for each orientation, namely southern orientation 23.31W/m², northern orientation 25.30W/m², eastern orientation 31.17W/m², and western orientation 42 ,48W/m². In the western orientation, the OTTV value indicates if it does exceed the limit.
