Abstract

An employee performance improvement strategy is a process carried out by a leader to advance his employees both in terms of knowledge, abilities, ways of thinking to the skills they have. The purpose of this study was to find out more about how work mobility and the strategies used by BKPSDM Situbondo Regency in improving employee performance are and find out what obstacles are faced by BKPSDM Situbondo Regency in implementing these strategies. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques derived from observations, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the strategy used by the BKPSDM of Situbondo Regency was to maximize employee performance, to be intensive in improving coordination and consultation, to realize transparent and accountable personnel administration services, and to innovate and synchronize data every month which was also supported by an application created by the Regency BKPSDM. Situbondo, namely the e-Kinerja application and the Milea application. However, in implementing this strategy, the BKPSDM of Situbondo Regency is faced with an obstacle that is quite influential for the agency, namely, the availability of human resources and understanding of e-government. Then, the solution that has been carried out by the BKPSDM of Situbondo Regency in minimizing and preventing these problems from arising is, the BKPSDM of Situbondo Regency always conducts regular and directed socialization.
