Abstract
One solution to overcome the electrification problem in rural areas is to build a DC microgrid. This study discusses the architectural design of the Centralized Generation and Centralized Storage (CGCS) DC microgrid and the analysis of its power flow. This architectural design is limited to the use of a radial interconnection system with solar panels and batteries as sources and connected to three loads. Simulation using Simulink and obtained high-efficiency results of 99.982% when the load is set to a minimum. However, when the load is set to maximum, the efficiency decreases to 89.236% accompanied by lower voltage drop and higher line loss. This study also discusses the analysis of power flow in the CGCS DC microgrid distribution system architecture. The Backward Forward Sweep (BFS) method is used in the distribution system calculation analysis process because it is considered the most suitable for completing the radial distribution system calculation analysis. As a result, with a line length setting of 15 meters, the highest efficiency is 99.8157%. However, when the length of the channel is enlarged, the efficiency decreases because of line losses.
