Abstract

The microgrid is an example of a distributed generation pattern that covers a variety of energy sources ranging from renewable energy to fossil energy which has a load interconnection system and various distributed sources. In this study the DC source is connected in parallel and supplies the load simultaneously, the DC source will be connected to the DC-DC Boost Converter which will increase the initial voltage to a higher level. Voltage regulation and accurate load sharing can be seen as the main goals in DC Microgrid operation. In DC Microgrid, the most common problem that occurs is the difference in load power distribution between DC sources that are connected in parallel, so that in the Primary Control system the Droop Control method is added which will overcome this problem. However, in using the Droop Control method there is a side effect, namely Voltage Drop or voltage drop this is because the better the current distribution, the worse the voltage regulation for the converter, this is also exacerbated by the difference in conductor resistance between the converters. So to fix this problem, an additional control is used, namely Secondary Control which is expected to overcome the effects of using the Droop Control method and can restore the Drop Voltage to the nominal voltage. in this study using a hierarchical control system which consists of Primary Control, Secondary Control where Primary Control is used to ensure that each converter can share power according to its capacity, while Secondary Control is used to ensure the accuracy of power sharing between converters connected in parallel and quality improvement voltage.
