Abstract
This study aims to describe and analyze: (1) the implementation of student learning rights; (2) the obstacles faced from the implementation of student learning rights; and (3) solutions to the obstacles faced from the implementation of student learning rights. The three matters are viewed within the policy framework of the independent learning curriculum and independent campuses. Through the perspective of constructivism theory at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that (1) the implementation of student learning rights at the Private Higher Education (PTS) level has been implemented since the beginning of the implementation of the policy. (2) There are several obstacles faced including: a) the adaptation process of KKNI with the MBKM program will have an impact on students and lecturers; b) the evaluation has not been completed; c) technical constraints in the implementation of the MBKM program, and d) the internship program is still experiencing many obstacles due to the collaboration mechanism with external parties. (3) The solutions to the obstacles that occur in the field are: a) monitoring and evaluation to determine the success or failure of the MBKM program implemented at UMM; and b) improvement which is the stage when the standard is reached then which starts with periodic and continuous improvement.
