Progress of construction material material area represent impact of growth of very fast science and technology in this time, so that many people trying to look for alternative to be able to continue to develop construction material material [in] environment [about/around], for example mud. In Indonesia materials which [is] oftentimes used for the making of brick one of them [is] natural materials that is clay land;ground, clay land;ground weared [is] usually taken away from [by] surface land;ground ( Top Soil) which is [is] productive to be used for the making of brick. [At] inspection of characteristic, mud materials material also contain clay, [at] event of hot mud blast [in] countryside of Siring, Porong, Sidoarjo represent very extraordinary impact to [common/ public] society and [about/around], so that from the occurence many [party/ side]s coping to anticipate to mud overflowing [do] not extend and [do/conduct] study for the pemanfatan of mud result of erupsi mentioned as building construction materials, so that can be of benefit to [common/ public] society and its surroundings This research [is] executed [by] [in] Lab. Concrete Technique Civil of UMM, examination which [in] [doing/conducting] [is] examination of strength depress, absorption irrigate and coherent strength [of] brick. Examination of strength depress brick required [by] 24 brick, strong stick brick required [by] 24 brick tide or 48 brick, while for the inspection of water absorpsion required [by] 10 brick, so that totalize for all examination [is] 96 brick. From result of examination known [by] strong value depress optimum brick which yielded equal to 94,034 singk / cm2 with percentage of mixture 5,175% mud of Porong, so that brick [is] including type of II/ class of II pursuant to regulation of red brick upon which building/ classification to strength depress. [at] absorpsion test irrigate brick yielded [by] value equal to 15,947% with percentage of mixture 4.223% mud of Porong, [at] installation of the brick [do] not need perendaman because of absorpsion value irrigate brick < 20%, while [at] strong test stick brick got [by] optimum result equal to 0,8115 singk / cm2 with percentage of mixture 7,817 % mud of Porong, so that from third equation of the examination result can know [by] average value percentage of mixture equal to 6,023 % mud
