Abstract

The main factor affecting the weight is the weight of aggregate concrete, amount of aggregate in concrete has a dominant percentage (70-75%) of all beton.Agar solid mass volume density is obtained which is smaller and lighter, one only coarse aggregate by replacing the commonly used form of gravel or stone rupture with other material alternatives. Implementation of this research involves several stages namely: examination of the building blocks of concrete, clay aggregate manufacturing road fuel with clay plus silica sand (± 5 cm square printed) with the addition of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%, after the dry burnt at a temperature of 1200-1300 ° C for ± 24 hours. Combustion products have irregular shapes, black and hard, then casting concrete cylinders dilakuakan 15x30 cm, with compressive strength of concrete at 28 days, treatment of samples by immersing the concrete cylinder starting from the day after printing until the age of 28 days. The resulting aggregate has a specific gravity less than 2.0 8-20% water absorption, from the wear test results aglest los aggregate entry average rat class II (10-20 MPa), and the resulting concrete is lightweight concrete that has high performance. This concrete compressive strength to 255 kg/cm2 in artificial aggregates with the addition of silica sand 10.4%, and has a concrete gravity 1.99.
