Abstract
Taxis are the means of transport in the movement of residents in an effort to meet its needs, which is located from a different location from where they reside. In analyzing the needs of taxi development and population growth is a factor that must be considered given the goal of this analysis lies in the level of demand (demand) of supply (supply) taxi. Results of analysis showed that the number of taxis needed Malang society based on the total population in 2006 was as many as 292 pieces. While the taxi that is licensed to route as many as 470 pieces. Surely Malang congested. So that needs to be done by rearranging the number of buses operating for a balance between the level of demand (demand) with the provision (supply). And for a taxi that takes poor city for 2010 is 305 units.
