Abstract
Sociopragmatics is a combination of two disciplines, namely sociology and pragmatics. These disciplines examine speech and relate it to the social context. In pragmatics, there are theories that study speech acts, one of which is imperative speech. Imperative utterances are sentences that contain utterances of commanding, forcing, ordering, inviting, and asking the speech partner to do what has been said.
