Abstract
The surrounding community utilizes plantation waste, namely oil palm fronds. To make it easier for the community to process oil palm fronds, the design of the chopper machine was carried out to be carried out efficiently. Design planning and power calculation of engine components are carried out according to the results of the palm fronds obtained in a day. After making the machine, further testing is carried out to determine the feasibility of the machine. Based on the design calculations, the machine capacity used is 250 m3/hour with a cutting speed of 1120.07 mm/s. The number of knives used as many as 36 knives.
