Abstract
This study discusses the Efforts of the Government of Indonesia to Deal with the Problem of Education of Children of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Sabah in 2015-2020. Indonesian migrant workers bring their wives and children to live in Malaysia, especially Sabah without an official residence permit and do not have complete documents that cause problems, one of which is about the education of PMI children. The research uses descriptive research methods that are analyzed using qualitative methods. The author uses the concept of National Role and Social Protection. In order to complete the case analysis, the author also completed this study with secondary data in the form of library data from book sources, online journals, and official websites. The results of this study are known that the Government of Indonesia made efforts to meet the education of PMI children in Sabah with the concept of national role at Active Independent, Regional-Subsystem Collaborator, Independent, Internal Development, Isolate, dan Protectee points and 4 elements in the concept of Social Protection.
