Abstract

In one of the Islamic educational institutions, Arabic is one of the subjects that must be taken by all students. Researchers see the mastery of arabic vocabulary of students is still low, due to the lack of learning media used by teachers so that it causes students to tend to difficulty. Therefore, a new educational game media is needed in order for learning to be effective and fun. The educational game used in this study is Kahoot, one of the educational game media that is very easy to use and very suitable with the learning system in this day and age. The student population used in the study amounted to 30 students of grade V-A Integrated Islamic Primary School Baitul 'Ilmi, Tambun. The purpose of this study is to know the effectiveness of educational game learning media in improving the mastery of Arabic vocabulary in students. To achieve this goal, this study uses a type of experimental research or experimental research. Data collection using observation and test methods (pretest and posttest). The result of the research on the effectiveness of the application of Kahoot-based educational game learning media in improving the mastery of Arabic vocabulary in Integrated Islamic Primary School Baitul 'Ilmi students is effective in the mastery of Arabic vocabulary. This is seen from the number of pretest values in 1980 and posttest values of 2560, as well as from the formula of N-Gain test or effectiveness test of 56.86 or can be rounded to 57 which means it has a moderate level of effectiveness in the category. Thus, Kahoot educational game media is effective in improving the mastery of Arabic language vocabulary Integrated Islamic Primary School Baitul 'Ilmi, Tambun.
